What 6-Ply Construction Means on a Razorback M/T Tire

Tire construction affects how confidently an ATV or UTV handles rough ground. The Wild Boar Razorback M/T uses a 6-ply construction designed to provide dependable support for mud, trails, farm use, and other demanding off-road conditions.

Built for real off-road use

A 6-ply tire is designed with a stronger carcass than a lightweight recreational tire. That added structure helps the tire resist common trail hazards and maintain its shape under load. It is a practical choice for riders who encounter roots, rocks, uneven ground, and hidden debris.

Durability without ignoring ride quality

More structure does not mean tire pressure should be guessed. The correct pressure helps the casing flex as intended, keeps the contact patch working, and supports predictable steering. Use the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance as a starting point and adjust only within safe limits for the machine, load, and terrain.

Construction and tread work together

The casing supports the Razorback M/T’s deep tread: 1.5-inch center lugs provide forward bite while 2-inch shoulder lugs help when the tire reaches the sides of a rut. A strong carcass gives those tread features a stable foundation as the tire loads and unloads.

Check fitment before ordering

Ply rating is only one part of choosing a tire. Confirm the diameter, width, wheel size, available clearance, and the effect of added tire height on gearing and steering. If you are unsure, the Wild Boar team can help review the planned setup before purchase.
