Built to Dig How Razorback MT Lug Design Finds Traction

Wild Boar Razorback M/T 30x9.5-14 tire tread with deep center and shoulder lugs

Built to Dig is more than a slogan for the Wild Boar Razorback M/T. The tread is designed around two jobs: creating forward bite through the center of the tire and finding extra grip at the shoulders when the machine drops into deeper mud or ruts.

The 1.5-inch center lugs are positioned to keep the tire pulling forward across mud, loose dirt, and changing trail surfaces. Moving outward, the aggressive 2-inch shoulder lugs reach deeper and help the tire keep working when the center tread is not enough by itself.

Open space around the tread helps release mud and debris as the tire rotates. That matters because a tread packed solid with mud cannot use its full lug depth. The Razorback design is intended to keep exposing usable edges as the tire turns.

Traction also depends on choosing the right tire pressure and size for the machine, load, and terrain. Too much or too little pressure can change the tire’s footprint and handling. Always follow the machine and tire recommendations, and inspect the tires before every ride.

For riders who want aggressive tread, 6-ply construction, and a 14-inch-wheel setup with more height, the 30×9.5-14 Razorback M/T full set is ready for the next mud hole.
