Most 30-inch tire kits use a 10-inch-wide tire. This one goes wider. If you ride in sand, soft dirt or loose ground where floating on top beats digging in, a wider tire can make a real difference.
The System 3 XT400W 30×12-15 Tires on Fuel Unit Matte Bronze (15×10) Wheels package includes four System 3 XT400W tires on four Fuel Unit wheels in matte bronze, plus lug nuts.
What 12 inches of width does
A 30×12-15 tire is 30 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The extra width spreads the machine’s weight over a larger footprint. That helps with flotation on sand and soft surfaces and adds stability on side hills. The tradeoff is a bit more steering effort than a narrower tire, especially at slow speeds.
A 15×10 wheel to match. The Fuel Unit wheels in this kit measure 15×10, meaning 15 inches in diameter and 10 inches wide. A wider wheel supports a wider tire properly, so the sidewalls sit straight and the tread lies flat on the ground. That helps the tire wear evenly and gives a firm, planted feel.
Matte bronze styling
Matte bronze has become a favorite color for side-by-side wheels. It looks great against black, gray, white and camo machines, and the matte finish keeps it understated. The Fuel Unit design adds a rugged, chunky look that fits a wide-tire setup.
A complete set. You get all four System 3 XT400W tires on matching Fuel Unit wheels, with lug nuts included, so the package is ready to bolt up once you confirm fitment.
Who this package suits
A wide 30-inch tire works well for riders who spend time in sand, soft dirt or loose ground, and for anyone who wants a more planted feel on side hills. It also suits owners who like the bold look of a wide tire tucked under the fenders. If you ride tight wooded trails, keep in mind the extra width.
Fitment checks
- Confirm the bolt pattern and offset needed for your machine.
- Wider tires and wheels can rub on suspension parts, so check clearance at full lock and full compression.
- Make sure the tires do not stick out past your fenders more than you want. Fender flares can help.
