Opening morning, 4:45 a.m. The Defender is loaded with a climbing stand, a cooler and two thermoses, and the trail to the back field is still pitch black. That ride, and the ride out with a deer in the bed, is where a stock front end comes up short.
We built the Wild Boar Can-Am Defender Front Bumper with LED Lights for 2020 and newer models for owners who use their Defender as a tool first. It bolts to the front of the machine and handles protection, lighting and winch mounting in one package.
Light for the hours you actually work
A lot of real Defender use happens in the dark. Feeding cattle before work, checking fence after supper, getting to the stand before shooting light. This bumper has integrated LED lights with a plug-and-play wiring harness, so you are not cutting into factory wiring. A front dash switch is part of the setup, which means you can kill the lights as you ease up to the stand and turn them back on when it is time to head out.
A built-in place for the winch
Every hunter who has tried to drag a buck up a creek bank, and every farmer who has buried a Defender in a wet pasture, knows the value of a winch. The trouble is that a winch needs a solid place to live. This bumper has a winch mount built in, so the recovery gear sits right where you need it instead of on a wish list.
Protection for a machine that pushes brush
Working Defenders get driven through hedgerows, briars, cedar thickets and tall grass that hides stumps. A durable front bumper takes those hits before they reach the factory plastics and the front of the machine. It also gives you something solid out front when you nose up to a gate or a hay bale.
What comes in the box and what fits
The kit includes the bumper, the integrated LED lights, the wiring harness, the dash switch and the mounting hardware for installation. This version is for 2020 and newer Can-Am Defenders. We make a separate bumper for 2016-2019 machines, so check your model year before you order.
