Wider tires look great on a RZR S 1000 until the first muddy ride. Then the tires stick out past the fenders and fling mud, sand and small rocks straight onto the cab, the riders and the body panels.
SuperATV’s Polaris RZR S 1000 Low Profile Fender Flares, available at Wild Boar ATV Parts, extend coverage so that debris stays on the trail.
More coverage per side
These flares add up to 5.5 inches of protection on each side. They are designed to protect against rocks, dirt, mud, sand and other debris coming off the tires. That extra coverage is especially helpful if you have added wheel spacers, wider wheels or larger tires that push the tread out past the stock fenders.
Made from LDPE
The flares are made from 1/8-inch LDPE, or low-density polyethylene. LDPE is a flexible plastic, so it bends when it hits brush or trees instead of cracking. That is what you want on a part that sits at the edge of the machine and is going to get bumped.
A clean, low look. These flares mount to SuperATV or OEM fender flares and keep a sleek, low-profile style. They add coverage without making the RZR look bulky. Plenty of owners like the cleaner lines compared to taller, boxier flares.
Why it matters.
- Less mud thrown into the cab and onto riders
- Fewer rock chips on body panels
- Better visibility, since less mud ends up on the windshield and helmets
- Less cleanup after every ride
Installation. The set of two comes with all the mounting hardware and instructions, so you can install them in the garage with basic tools.
Pairs well with wider setups
Fender flares make the most sense once you have widened your RZR S 1000. Wheel spacers, wider offset wheels and bigger tires all push the tread outward, and the stock fenders stop covering it. Adding flares at the same time as a tire or spacer upgrade keeps the machine looking finished and keeps the mess off you and your passengers. It also helps keep your machine in line with trail rules in areas that require tire coverage.
