See and Be Seen: Upgrading Your Headlights and Taillights

Trail rides don’t always end before the sun goes down, and being able to see clearly, and be seen by others, matters the moment daylight starts to fade. Whether you’re looking to upgrade a burned-out bulb or switch to LED lighting altogether, Wild Boar carries headlight and taillight options built for specific Polaris, Arctic Cat, and Kawasaki models.

A Taillight That Helps You Back Up Too

Arctic Cat owners can upgrade to a tail light with a built-in reverse light, adding backup illumination to the standard job of a taillight. That’s genuinely useful when you’re backing a trailer, maneuvering around camp in low light, or just trying to see what’s behind you before you back up near a ditch or a tree line.

It’s a simple swap that adds a real function stock taillights on many machines don’t include, and it’s the kind of upgrade you don’t appreciate until you’re trying to back up in the dark without it.

Direct-Fit Replacement Bulbs Keep You Road-Ready

Sometimes the simplest fix is the right one. Wild Boar carries direct-replacement headlight bulbs for the Polaris Ranger, RZR, and Scrambler lines, so you can swap a dim or burned-out bulb for a fresh one without replacing the whole housing.

Keeping your headlights in working order isn’t glamorous, but it’s one of the easiest ways to make sure you can see, and be seen, every time you head out after daylight starts fading. A bulb that’s dimmed with age can be just as much of a visibility problem as one that’s burned out entirely, and it’s a quick swap you can knock out in the driveway.

Moose Racing LED Headlights: Halo or Clear

For a bigger upgrade, Moose Racing’s LED headlights swap out your stock halogen setup for LED lighting, which runs brighter and whiter than a typical stock bulb. The Black housing version comes with a Halo accent ring for a distinct look on the trail, while the Clear version, available for the Polaris General, offers the LED upgrade without the halo styling.

The Halo version has broad fitment across the Polaris lineup, including the Sportsman, RZR 900/1000/Turbo, General, Ranger 400/500/570/700/800, and Scrambler 850/1000, plus the Kawasaki Mule Pro. That kind of coverage means most riders in these families can find a direct-fit LED headlight rather than hunting for a universal option that never quite lines up right. For riders who spend a lot of time on the trail after sunset, that upgrade in brightness is one of the more noticeable changes you can make.

LED Bulbs Built Specifically for RZR Models

If you want the LED upgrade without swapping the whole headlight housing, Moose Racing also makes LED headlight bulbs sized for the RZR 900, RZR 1000, RZR Turbo, and the older RZR 800 (2011-2014). It’s a more targeted way to get brighter, whiter light out of the housing you already have.

Between bulbs and full housings, RZR owners have more than one path to better nighttime visibility depending on how much of an upgrade they want to take on and how much of the stock setup they want to keep.

Better lighting is one of the most practical upgrades you can make to any UTV, whether it’s a quick bulb swap or a full LED housing change. Check out Wild Boar’s full headlight and taillight selection to find the right fit for your machine.
