A Ranger 1000 that works for a living sees a lot of punishment underneath. Stumps in a fresh-cut field, rocks hidden in tall grass, ruts left by the tractor. The rear A-arms hang low and take a lot of those hits.
The SuperATV Polaris Ranger 1000 High-Clearance Rear Offset A-Arms, available at Wild Boar ATV Parts, are designed to beef up the rear suspension, lift the arms away from trouble and widen the stance. The set includes two rear arms.
1.5 inches of clearance and offset
SuperATV designed these arms to add 1.5 inches of ground clearance and 1.5 inches of rear offset. The high-clearance shape lifts the lowest point of the arm, which means fewer hang-ups on logs and rocks. The offset pushes the rear wheels out, giving the Ranger a wider, more stable stance on side hills and when it is loaded down.
Room for 30-inch tires
The arms fit tires up to 30 inches. For a lot of Ranger 1000 owners, that is the size that makes sense for farm and hunting use. It adds height and traction without the heavier drivetrain upgrades that often come with bigger tires.
Stronger and adjustable
The arms use 1.25-inch tubing, which is larger than stock. Adjustable pivot blocks give you full camber adjustability, so you can dial in alignment after adding offset and new tires. A UV-resistant powder coat finish helps them hold up to sun and weather. The arms use the stock A-arm bushings, SuperATV calls them easy to install, and they are backed by a lifetime warranty.
Planning the rest of the build
Because these are rear arms, many riders consider whether they want a matching setup up front so the stance stays even. Wider offset and bigger tires also put more load on axles, so it makes sense to check the condition of your axles while you are under the machine. If your Ranger already has worn bushings, this is a good time to inspect them too, since the arms reuse the stock ones.
Confirm that your machine is a Polaris Ranger 1000 and check your year before ordering. If you have questions about fitment or want help planning a full suspension upgrade, call the Wild Boar team at 850-912-4350.
