The Honda Talon 1000X was built for speed on trails and dunes. It was not built with deep water in mind. Yet plenty of Talon owners ride where creek crossings and mud holes are part of the route, and that is where a factory intake can get you in trouble.
SuperATV’s Honda Talon 1000X Depth Finder Snorkel Kit, available at Wild Boar ATV Parts, is designed to let you ride deeper water with more confidence.
Why water and engines do not mix
An engine needs air. If the intake pulls in water instead, the results can range from a stall to serious internal damage. A snorkel moves the air intake up high, away from the water line, so the engine keeps breathing clean air when the machine is wading through a crossing. Vents that can let water into places it does not belong get the same treatment.
What SuperATV includes
This is a complete kit. In the box you get the snorkel riser, high-pressure coil hose, a gas tank vent hose, brackets and hardware. Full-color instructions are included to walk you through the install. Rerouting the gas tank vent is a detail some riders forget, and having it in the kit helps keep water out of the fuel system.
Ride smart, even with a snorkel
A snorkel is a tool, not a license to drive into anything. Walk a crossing first if you can, watch for current, and know where the bottom is. Water can still reach electrical parts, the CVT and other components, so check and service the machine after a deep ride. Clean intakes and dry belts are part of owning a water-ready Talon.
Confirm fitment before ordering
Wild Boar cannot take returns on snorkel kits, no exceptions. That makes fitment the most important step. This kit is for the Honda Talon 1000X, so confirm your exact model before you buy. If you have any doubt about whether your Talon is the right match, call us at 850-912-4350 and we will verify it with you before the kit ships.
For Talon owners who keep finding water on their favorite trails, a snorkel is one of the most practical upgrades available. It protects the engine you paid for and lets you take the line through the crossing instead of turning around.
